About this course

The 18th Edition course is an essential electrical qualification. Since January 2019 all installations must be designed in line with 18th Edition Regulations. 

The aim of this course is to give applicants a good understanding of the 18th Edition Regulations and provide a guide to good working practice on site. The main course objective is to cover the scope and requirements of the Wiring Regulations and update learners from the 17th Edition regulations.

You must have access to a PC/Laptop to undertake this training
The daytime course will run 9:00am - 5:00pm (approx.) at the training provider’s premises.
The evening course will run Wednesdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm via an online classroom, with self-study time necessary in between the online classes.

EXAM: You need to be able to travel to the training provider’s premises to complete the exam at the end of the course.

This FREE course is only available to adults that are eligible for a Personal Learning Account (PLA). Personal Learning Accounts, funded by the Welsh Government, are available to employed adults living in Wales that wish to develop skills to progress or change career.

What you will study

Our 18th Edition course ensures that you are up to date with the latest (BS7671) wiring regulations, including the safe use, operation and installation of electrical equipment and systems in line with the City & Guilds 2382-22 qualification.

This is not an electrical installation course but is essential for anyone who is involved in electrical installations.
