About this course

The ILM Level 3 Award is a nationally recognised qualification that has been designed for team leaders and first-line managers or those who wish to have a coaching role in their organisation. Learners develop their coaching knowledge, skills and understanding to enhance their ability and confidence in coaching. 

This course will support learners to develop an understanding of how to identify how coaching works and develop knowledge of creating a coaching culture within an organisation to improve organisational performance. Learners will have the opportunity to practice their coaching skills, using recognised coaching models and techniques to improve and develop their coaching practice.

What you will study

To gain your ILM Level 3 Award qualification, you will be required to attend 3x mandatory face-to-face day classes. To gain the qualification, you will need to submit 3x Unit Assignments; a theoretical assignment (approx. 3500 words), a coaching diary (evidence of 6 hours’ worth of coaching within an organisation), and a reflective assignment (approx. 1500 words). 

Units Covered in this qualification:

  • Unit 300: Understanding Good Practice in Coaching within an Organisational Context
  • Unit 301: Undertaking Coaching in an Organisational Context 
  • Unit 303: Reflecting on Coaching Skills within an Organisational Context 

Once you have passed, you will receive a nationally recognised certificate and a digital accreditation badge.

Entry requirements

Course and Enrolment Fee payment to be made upon enrolment To be eligible for this qualification, you must:

  • be in employment in a Supervisor, Team Leader or First Line Manager role (due to the reflective nature of the qualification assignments)
  • upload a minimum 100-word Personal Statement when applying to outline your interest in obtaining this qualification
  • upload evidence of your highest qualification to date e.g. GCSE or Degree Certificate

All applications, personal statements and qualification evidence will be assessed by our Course Tutors. The team will then be in touch to confirm your overall suitability for this level of ILM qualification.

Please note that we cannot process applications without a Personal Statement.
