Step into Teaching with the Level 3 Award in Education and Training

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is your first step into the world of teaching and training adults – a nationally recognised qualification designed to launch or grow your career in education across a variety of sectors.

Whether you are dreaming of delivering workplace training, leading in adult education, or stepping into the classroom for the first time, this course will equip you with the skills and confidence to engage, inspire and make a real impact.

This course is delivered at our City Centre Campus from 9.30am – 4:00pm on the below dates:

Modules

Throughout the course, you will gain essential teaching skills such as planning and delivering inclusive teaching sessions, assessing work and giving constructive feedback. Modules include:

  • Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training
  • Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training
  • Understanding Assessment in Education and Training

Assessment

To achieve this qualification, you will need to attend all sessions dates, submit a written assignment to a set deadline and deliver a micro-teach lesson. You will receive guidance and ongoing support from your tutor throughout your course, including during your tutorial session as well as via email, Microsoft TEAMS and phone. Self-study time is essential to help you complete your assignments and prepare for your assessment – so be sure to plan your schedule accordingly.

You are eligible for this course if you:

  • are aged 19 or over
  • are not in full time education
  • can attend all workshop dates
  • hold a A*- C in GCSE English or equivalent or higher
  • are looking to progress or start your career in Teaching and Training adults across a wide range of organisations
