About this course

This City and Guilds Essential Skills Wales Application of Numbers Level 2 qualification is an equivalent of a GCSE in Mathematics. 

Ideal for adults who have not yet obtained a GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics, this course will help you achieve a nationally recognised and employer-desired qualification.

What you will study

This course is delivered online via Microsoft Teams for 3hrs a week, across 10 weeks. 

To achieve the qualification, you will also have to complete a 2-part assessment onsite at the CAVC Cardiff City Centre Campus across 2 days:

  1. A scenario-based task involving; understanding numerical data, carrying out calculations, interpret and present results and findings. 
  2. A 20-question multiple choice task (including manual calculations as calculators are not permitted).
