Assessment

To achieve this qualification, you will need to attend all sessions which will include both classroom and online learning, submit a portfolio of evidence which you will compile and submit at the end of the course, demonstrate knowledge of assessment and be expected to carry out a minimum of four assessment with at least two Learners while being observed in real-time.

The assessment will take a holistic approach and will include recognition of prior learning, evidence of your work, witness testimonies, professional discussions, case studies, learner/reflective statements and observations of practice.

By the end of the course, you will provide evidence of planning assessments, giving feedback, reviewing participation in standardised and continues development activities.

You will receive guidance and ongoing support from your tutor throughout your course, including during your tutorial session as well as via email, TEAMS and phone. Self-study time is essential to help you complete your assignment, portfolio of evidence and prepare for your observation – so be sure to plan your schedule accordingly. You will be expected to be committed to achieving the qualification over a period of 6-12 months and will need access to the internet and laptop.

You are eligible for this course if you:

  • are aged 19 or over
  • are not in full time education
  • can attend all workshop dates
  • hold a A*- C in GCSE English or equivalent or higher
