This course provides an introduction to the ‘language of finance’ and the make-up of Financial Statements, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement, including clarification of terminology.
This is then expanded into managing costs through exploring cost type and behaviour. This provides the ground work to explore basic budgeting and dealing with variances.
Finally, an introduction to basic interpretation of Financial Statements, this includes Gross Profit, Net Profit, how long our customers are taking to pay us, how long we are taking to pay suppliers and how long we are holding stock etc.
This programme is funded through Multiply. To be eligible to enrol, you must: - Be aged 19 or over - Be able to provide evidence that you currently work and/live in Cardiff and the Vale e.g. ID, Utility Bill, Employment Contract with full address clearly stated. - Be dedicated to attending the entire session/s Please upload your evidence when applying as applications will not be processed without this evidence.
