Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) is powering industry growth through the CCR Skills Programme. Part funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Cardiff and Vale College and a regional network of partners, the programme aims to drive economic development across 10 local authorities by collaborating with industry groups and employers. Focused on identifying and developing in-demand Digital, Net Zero, and Advanced Manufacturing skills, it will unlock growth potential through innovative training and development initiatives.
Our training programmes take the form of short training course and intensive bootcamps, focusing on skills development in high-demand and key growth sectors which are underpinned with employability training.
Guaranteed interview opportunities on completion have been embedded into each programme, fast-tracking individuals into industry placements and vacancies. Ensuring a pipeline of interview-ready candidates for vacancy needs, with a range of outcomes at technical, managerial, & leadership levels.
Courses are aimed at adults living in the Cardiff Capital Region, including graduates, career changers and career returners. Designed to overcome barriers and challenges, there is also a focus on targeting those from underrepresented groups and marginalised communities.

Thought leadership and co-design opportunities for employers will be key to shaping our programmes. Employers will also benefit from a talent pool, skilled and ready for industry. Together, let’s drive economic growth and prosperity in South-East Wales.
