Medical Maths

The session primarily focuses on the following calculations:

• Volume Required of Medicines
• Rate of Flow
• Drops per Minute
• Dosage
• Concentration of Stock

We will also look into:

• Metric Conversions
• BIDMAS/BODMAS
• How to read Mathematical Formula
• Rounding to one significant figure and appropriate rounding
• How to accurately estimate
• Identifying common mathematical errors
• How to read scales

This 1-day course is delivered onsite from 9.30am – 4:00pm.

Suitable for those who are looking to enter or upskill in the Medical Sector, OR for those who require the mathematical knowledge and understanding outlined above.

This course is funded via the UK Government’s Multiply project so you will be requested to complete a Declaration form when you attend.
