This one-day course is designed for HR and non-HR professionals responsible for designing, preparing and facilitating organisational learning events.

This course is delivered at our City Centre Campus from 9.30am - 4:00pm.
The day will be split into 3 key parts:
1) People and learning
2) Designing a learning event
3) Facilitating a face-to-face group learning event
At the end of the day, delegates will:
Have developed their knowledge of how people learn (with links to learning theory, psychology and neuroscience)
Be able to identify some potential learning ‘blockers’ that exist in their own organisation and explored some strategies to overcome these learning ‘blockers’
Understand some key principles around learning design
Be able to write effective learning aims, objectives and outcomes
Understand how to prepare themselves, their learners and the learning environment to ensure a successful learning event.
Have exchanged and practised effective facilitation skills and techniques
Have reflected on their own facilitation strengths and development areas
Have drafted an action plan to transfer learning and skills back to the organisation

• are not in full time education
• can attend the entire session
