Is your business based in Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf, or Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan?

Want financial support to help boost their salary or secure the right recruit? Jointly funded by Cardiff Capital Region and the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund, Recruit and Train is offering any business that meets the following criteria an opportunity to receive £2k PLUS expert guidance on continued training and development.
Businesses can apply for up to 5 x £2k for up to 5 appointments. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Private sector small business employing less than 50 employees and located in one of the SE Wales local authorities within Cardiff Capital Region (Cardiff, Bridgend, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport  Rhondda Cynon Taf, Torfaen or the Vale of Glamorgan)
  • Recruiting a new post or vacant post, not covering sickness, maternity or replacing a role recently made redundant. 
  • Recruiting a new employee aged 18 or over.
  • Role must be a minimum of 12 months full time contract, minimum of 30 hours per week and paying the minimum of Real Living Wage (£12/hr min)
  • Recruiting for net zero / green, advanced manufacturing or digital roles.
  • Not in receipt of any other funding for the recruitment of this post and cannot apply for support retrospectively for recently employed individuals
